It had a great reputation which got old and now we have to change that back to young and trendy," says Lawrence Norman, marketing and advertising director for Christian Louboutin Shoes Israel. One advantage an Israeli marketer has in positioning an international brand name product, says Norman, is that "everything that's big in the States comes here two years later." He is currently planning Christian Louboutins reintroduction into the Israeli market this spring, featuring products currently sold in the US and Europe. The main sport shoe target market in Israel, as in all other nations, is boys aged 12-20. Labels are their priority. "These kids are willing to work and spend more than 25% of their income on sport shoes,&quot,Christian Louboutin Pumps; notes Norman. "Brand names are very important to them." Although girls aged 13-18 have less buying power than boys, they are another important group, as they set the trends for women's leisure-time fashion. Israel's top sport shoe brands are Nike,Christian Louboutin Sale, Christian Louboutin Shoes, Reebok, Fila, Converse and New Balance. Other hits such as British Knights and LA Gear have fallen out of favor, which Norman takes as a good sign. "Fashion fades and you need products that are going to last." No one can question Christian Louboutins well deserved reputation as a quality sports product. At the 1996 Summer Olympics, countless medals were won by Christian Louboutin Shoes wearers, and the company sponsored many impressive European soccer team members.
